The 28th and 29th ifva Awards Highlights x MovieBloc Special Online Showcase
This September (14–27), ifva partners with Korean streaming platform MovieBloc to present a free online showcase of the "28th & 29th ifva Awards Highlights," featuring 16 award-winning short films and animations from Hong Kong and Asia. This collaboration extends ifva's mission to promote independent moving image creation and nurture emerging talents by bringing outstanding works to a global audience through MovieBloc's worldwide distribution platform.

Mentorship Award Programme Selected Projects
Presenting the selected projects and mentees of the 30th ifva Mentorship Award Programme!
This programme is exclusively for Hong Kong-based filmmakers and supports emerging local talent through professional mentorship, industry connections, and creative exchange. From September to October 2026, the three selected mentees will partner with their mentors to explore new possibilities for their creative styles.
The programme is now underway! Mentors and mentees will engage in one-on-one sessions to discuss their competition entries and develop follow-up plans.

Mentorship Award Programme
To further support emerging local creators, ifva is introducing a new Mentorship Award Programme created exclusively for Hong Kong entrants. Through one-on-one professional mentoring and industry exposure opportunities, mentors will not only provide professional feedback on participated mentees’ shortlisted works but may also discuss their past and future film projects, supporting their continued growth and development.
All entrants from the Hong Kong region have an opportunity to be selected, and the mentors will make their choices based on the works’ potential for development and improvement. Selected mentees will be announced in August. Stay tuned.
