It does not matter if you are a captain of the first rank, Midshipman, Admiral or Lev Tolstoy - deep inside yourself you still are a little boy. And in a snowy town behind the red window Nadezhda (Hope) is waiting for you.
Artist's Statement
Each of us had a first love and first hope.
Each of us was young, "clean", and believed in life.
I remember a time when I was a naval cadet and I believed that many roads ahead and a lot of doors that need to knock and it will be opened.
I was a boy, that the Russian calls MALCHIK. And I believe that these MALCHIKI and girls (DEVOCHKI) make life real.
I believe in it now. Because Hope lives forever. And never dies. And this Hope I want to share with the audience.
