Artist Biography

Tang Yi studied accounting in a Hong Kong university and was signed as a singer and writer with Universal Records. She later graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She is committed to conveying little-known voices and stories from the perspective of women. Her debut short film Black Goat was eligible for the 2021 Oscar’s Award in the short film category. She was named one of the “25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2020” by Austin Film Festival.
