Anywhere Out of the World brings together the works of Hui Wai-keung, the 22nd ifva Awards Media Art Category Best Local work winner, in an exhibition about near and far, known and unknown, reality and possibility. This exhibition is the first local solo exhibition of Hui, which place the focus on revealing Hui’s wonder of the higher dimensions that exist beyond our physical realm.

Human beings are trained to accustom and believe everything seen and touched with physical body in our living world. But in this three dimensional space, do multiple universes silently happen between gaps of our perception, or even create changes out of our cognition? Inspired by Professor Linda Dalrymple Henderson’s spatial imagination, Hui starts his own visual study in fourth dimension and the idea is presented prominently throughout his works.

The exhibition contains media experience, including video projections, installations and virtual reality, to explore a new interpretation of space though visual studies and retain an awareness of the potential existence of possible hyperspaces out of the world.
