The four commission works use short films to put into practice the principle of balanced development between society and the environment.  Even though these films are short in length, they nevertheless powerfully call to mind the need to protect and care for the environment.

“A Day with Ki Ki” by CHAN Wing-chiu

Hong Kong / Colour / 1’ / In Cantonese with Chinese subtitles

A one minute portrayal of the life of Ki Ki.

Ki Ki is but an average girl living in the neighbourhood, a typical teen of today’s Hong Kong. There’s no shouting of slogans, no propagation of doctrine, but simply an attitude of life. Points the camera straight towards the people, this is a film that is determined to produce images that let the people tell their own stories. If we strive on with persistence, we shall one day receive our “Thank You letters from future”.

Strive on, Ki Ki!
