Artist's Statement

Hong Kong people, are you still amiable? Do you notice what’s happening around you? Do you notice the people around you? As our society becomes more modern, people are less and less caring. Where is our sense of kindliness? In this small village store, there is no hidden agenda behind people’s smiles. Even though the shop is small, the sense of warmth is palpable. This is what touched me when I was filming it. This is the power of documentary.
