Ho Ka-ho and Tsui Ka-hei’s Puff the Magic Dragon searches for the meaning of self in a chaotic mind, while Wong Ping’s Jungle of Desire and Doggy Love examines what is repressed in our innermost. Ng Kai-chung and Ng Tsz-ching’s Tale of Rebellious Stone features a soul that wants to be free. School bullying in Mak Ying-ping’s Demon Kills and Ho Chun-yu’s Behind the Schoolbag might also point to inner struggle of urban living that necessitates self-catharsis.

A boy confesses why he commits suicide at his school. Troubled by hallucinations of demons around him, he decides to stand up to the demons and exposes them. Only he has to bear with the consequences that come along. Bullied and isolated, the boy becomes more mentally unstable and goes into hiding. Upon discovering more demons lurking in the city, he decides to find out where these devils come from and embarks on a journey into the far north wilderness.
